Climate
Moderate-low rainfall (400-600 mm/year), dry summers and long, harsh winters with marked temperature fluctuations throughout the seasons and during the day and night in the summer. Mediterranean climate with a continental character.
Grapes
Mostly Tempranillo known as Tinta del País or Tinta Fina in the region, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Albillo.
Wine classification
Rosé, Tinto Joven and Tinto Roble (aged for less than 12 months in barrels), Red Crianza (at least 12 months in oak barrels), Red Reserva (36 months aged, with at least 12 months in barrel), Red Gran Reserva ( minimum 60 months, with at least 24 in barrel).
Harvest Qualification
Since 1984 the quality of the vintages from the vineyards has been of good to excellent quality. In this way, each batch of wine produced has passed a qualification process developed by the Regulatory Council.
