Red wines are deeply coloured from cherry red with bluish, indigo, violet and purple reflections in young wines to garnet or ruby red in reserva wines. The vineyards approved by the Denomination of Origin  Ribera del Duero are located in the environs of the Duero river in northern Spain, of about 115 km long and 35 wide. It therefore includes a part of the region of Soria, Burgos, Segovia and Valladolid.
